At Grace Pointe the health and safety of our residents is our top priority.  We are continuing to monitor health of staff daily and follow guidelines on sanitation and personal protection equipment.  As news of the Covid-19 virus affecting our area continues to evolve we wanted to share some important information with you.  We continue to monitor the spread of the coronavirus and follow guidelines specified by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and state and county health care agencies.

Family Member Visits

At this time family visits within the community are not allowed. We apologize for any inconvenience. When appropriate we will resume essential visitor protocols and processes. We have established a process for Outside visits which includes online sign up, designated location, supervising staff and established protocols.  Other alternatives include virtual and window visits.

Team Members

Access to the building by staff and approved visitors is limited.  All must undergo appropriate screening protocols.  Any refusal or reading at or above the temperature threshold will require the team member be sent home and not allowed to return to work without proper medical clearance and sign off by the appropriate Director.

Non-Family Visitors

Visitors are limited to necessary approved medical professionals and essential service vendors.  Before entering the community, they must provide documentation of a negative Covid, consent to a temperature check, a questionnaire regarding symptoms and sanitize their hands before being allowed access to the community.  In the event a visitor refuses to comply, has a temperature reading at or above 99.5 degrees, or answers yes to any question on the questionnaire, they will not be granted access to the Community and will be required to leave the premises immediately.

Activities

We are limiting all inside and outside activities.  In each area of the community there are smaller group gatherings with appropriate social distancing.

Medical Appointments

Essential medical appointments continue.  Family members may choose to transport their loved one, however, we will require temperature check upon return to the community, completion of the Coronovirus questionnaire, and a 14 day in room quarantine.   The CDPHE considers a medical appointment facilitated by Grace Pointe’s transportation, to be “controlled” and therefore exempt from the 14-day isolation.

Environmental Cleaning

We continue routine cleanings of public areas throughout the day.  Sanitization supplies are ordered to ensure an adequate inventory is maintained at all times.

Dining

Communal dining continues for Assisted living and Memory care.   Dining is limited to small groups to allow for appropriate social distancing of 6 feet per resident. When needed we will remove our table cloths and serve on paper products to prevent unnecessary exposure.
